Born in Hawaii and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, I have been writing since a very young age. I wrote my first long story when I was about eight following a group of girls lost in New York. It was deeply terrible. But with support from my family and friends, I never stopped putting words on pages.
I enjoy writing about a variety of topics, from baking bread to climate change. In 2020, I received a Master's degree in geology, so I can write and research about scientific topics. I have also written about social justice, health and fitness, and food. I have taken courses and worked on projects focused on writing, science communication, and editing.
Outside of writing, I enjoy being outside either hiking, mountain biking, or climbing up cliffs. I hope to own a sustainable farm one day.
